Description
Agapanthus Blue Yonder is a beautiful, cold hardy variety that blooms from the last spring frost to the first frost of fall; 3'-4'; hybridizer says winter hardiness 5-10. This item is a PLANT, and will arrive in ~4" pots from tissue culture. (These are best grown in 70°+ soil or start indoors ahead of time on a heat mat). We've seen these perform like crazy in California gardens. They are not sure exactly what makes them happy and bloom prolifically, but will keep planting and trialing and will hopefully discover the secrets. If they perform lusciously for you, we'd love to hear about your gardening situation. They seem to take AT LEAST a season to get used to their new home - and maybe they need cool summer nights, which are rare here! A rosette of strap-like leaves surround 1"-2" long, trumpet-shaped blooms clustered on top of 18"-48" stems; perfect for a full sun, well-drained site.
