Description
Asclepias verticillata is a widely adaptable and tough native that is a deer-resistant food for larval monarch butterflies; fine-textured, dark green foliage with clusters of white flowers that appear in June and July; perennial; winter hardiness zone 4-8; 1'-3'; plug.

We are not perennial growers but we have been using all types of plant material in our gardens with bulbs and have recommended doing so for over 20 years! We have friends who grow plants in the U.S. and have offered them to us for our catalogue. We're sure you'll enjoy them in your garden especially when you see how they extend and expand your blooming season!

Our pollinators are so important to the sustainability of our gardens and food crops for insect and birds and if each of us participates in healthy gardening practices and chooses some of the pollinator attracting plants, we can collectively make a HUGE difference.
