Contract – for Seminars at your location
INITIAL LECTURE AND CONSULTING FEE per 8 hour day - $750.00 plus expenses
You may arrange for us to give talks and/or seminars to other horticultural related organizations in your area (up to 3) on the day that we are scheduled to meet with your group and share the cost of our fee and expenses with them. Most of our lectures are Power Point presentations and require a Power Point projector and 1 large screen.
The room MUST be able to be darkened completely.
If visiting your organization requires us to stay overnight, we will be comfortable and happy staying in a hotel, but we prefer to stay with a fellow gardener in their home. Our expenses should be a lot less for you if this could be arranged. If you have a raffle for a garden consultation, it could help raise funds for your seminar. Whoever wins the raffle has Brent for dinner, they put him up for the night and they have him in their garden the next morning for a brief garden consultation. Everyone wins!
Many organizations have a Daffodils for North American Gardens and/or Tulips for North American Gardens book sale and signing in conjunction with the talk/seminar and the profits from this sale usually pay for most of the expenses. They can be purchased outright (10 minimum) for $8.00 each or on consignment for $10 each. All returned books on consignment must still be wrapped in its original protective covering in order to be returnable.
