leichtlinii 'Alba' - up to 50 wonderful, clear white starlike flowers dance around and up the 2'-3' stalk of this special Native American bulb; this is stunning when planted in combination with Siberian Iris or peonies; (10+cm).

Tall spikes with many starry flowers with long, upright swordlike leaves; native to America, it was sometimes used by the Indians as a food crop; tolerates damp meadows and pond edges as well as heavy clay soils; seems to bloom well in either part shade or full sun; late spring/early summer; zones 3-8.
