Dear Gardening Friends,
Our family has been growing bulbs since 1900 when Brent's grandfather moved to this area after falling in love with the Daffodil. Today, we still love the Daffodil, but offer SO much more! Bulbs, Seeds, Perennials, plants, supplements, books, gifts...we've really evolved!
We live and work on our 28 acre farm and gardens here in Gloucester, VA. We are pleased to be flower bulb suppliers, garden writers, photographers, lecturers, consultants and educators as we develop 8+ acres of educational, Chesapeake Bay friendly gardens.
These display gardens will show people how we utilize flower bulbs with annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs organically while treating the Bay that we live on with the utmost respect. We hope to create an educational foundation in which we can help educate school groups, Master Gardener groups or the general public about how they can incorporate these gardening practices in their own gardens.
also have a new multi-purpose building called "The Chesapeake Lounge". Not really a "lounge" yet, but a space that we use for our day to day needs that YOU can also rent for meetings, classes, seminars, parties, receptions...whatever your needs! It comfortably seats about 100 people, has full multi-media capabilities (projector, audio, DVD, mics, etc), has 3 South facing "loading doors" which can be opened for a view of our gardens, rockers on the porch, etc. For information on the facility and availabily, click here or call us toll free at 877-661-2852.
We've added cutflowers to our line up! So if you are in the dog house, want to send flowers to cheer someone up, or just love fresh flowers on the table - whatever the reason - you may want to take a look at what we have to offer by clicking here!
You'll also find a selection of seeds and perennials to accompany your bulb gardens. A clump of daffodils can look pretty, but planting a "complete garden" can create a huge impact! You can also find these on our website by clicking this link!
We are excited about our ideas and dreams as we begin the move into our 4th generation! And we look forward to sharing our experience with you. We are truly fortunate to be involved in such a positive occupation that universally helps people to smile by creating beautiful gardens and, therefore, enjoying a happier life. May your gardens overflow with smiles!
