Big, bold and colorful, with heights ranging from 2'-10', the Canna is one of the most versatile and cost effective perennials for the southern garden. They flower in the heat of mid-late summer when many other plants give out. These lush plants give areas of the garden the feeling of the tropics, while they actually take on the role of the summer garden ‘bones’ and backdrop. The smaller cultivars, however, fit in nicely as excellent centerpieces for patio planters. Responding to ample moisture, full light and rich soil, they are even happy planted in a pot submerged in a pond; they can be considered ‘cut and come again plants’ if their leaves become damaged during the growing season; Plant 10”-18” apart; whz 7-10; treat as an annual or container plant, starting indoors with bottom heat in zones 3-6 because they hate cool soil!

Orders shipped West of the Rocky Mountains after Oct. 25th have a possibility of freezing in transit. In order to eliminate that possibility, 3rd Day Shipping is required. This chart shows how much extra shipping will be added to your if the order is being sent after Oct. 25th. Please note that the charges are determined first by the state and then by the number of bulbs being ordered. Please check the chart to determine if you will be charged an additional amount. For example: Select the state where the bulbs will be shipped (i.e. CA). Count the number of bulbs being ordered (100 daffodils, 100 tulips, 100 crocus and 10 hippeastrum would equal 310 bulbs).
