Clusters of long-lasting, large flowers bloom and re-bloom mid through late summer on 2’-3’ stems, towering above its sword-shaped leaves. It prefers rich, moist soil but tolerates drier situations; resents being disturbed, so don’t move it, unless necessary. Once it’s been established, it may take a season before it blooms. Wonderfully fragrant, it’s a great companion to many perennials and other bulbs; 1 per sq. ft.; whz 7-10. If you live in a colder area, mulch heavily or plant in containers so it can be moved inside during the winter like an Agapanthus or Hibiscus
