The most adored bulb group in the summer garden, it offers almost as many color variations as the tulip and is also a great cut flower. Many forms, sizes, heights, and bloom times are available. Some upfacing, downfacing and outfacing; planted in the same bed as daffodils and tulips, they extend the spring blooming season into summer; terrific garden plants as well as cut flowers; they thrive in full sun as well as in partial shade and in well-drained soil; Asiatics tend to bloom early summer and Orientals bloom later in the summer; excellent perennial bargain!
