Wide and narrow funnel-shaped, six petaled flowers bloom on long straight stems which decorate the early summer garden like no other plant, some upfacing, downfacing and outfacing. Planted in the same bed as daffodils and tulips, they extend the spring blooming season into summer. These long lived perennials are terrific garden plants as well as cut flowers. They thrive in full sun as well as in light shade and in well-drained soil; bloom early-mid summer. An excellent perennial bargain; 16/18+cm bulbs; 2-3 per sq. ft.; whz 3-9.
Lilies offer almost as many color variations as the tulip and are also great cut flowers. Many forms, sizes, heights, bloom times as well as colors are available. Our lillies are not treated with insecticides. (Hint: When using lilies as cut flowers, snip off the anthers at the end of the stamens as they may stain tablecloths and clothing.)
