From South Africa, these bulbs produce umbels of exotic, spicy-scented, flowers with narrow, wavy, recurved petals which bloom on top of 18”-24” stems in early fall until hard freeze. They are a delight in our garden because they seem to pop up out of nowhere unannounced and provide color in late fall when many other flowers have faded. They are critter-proof, make superb cut flowers and are excellent in containers. 12/14cm bulbs; 3-5 per sq. ft.; whz 8-10; have overwintered in our whz 7 garden with a frost canopy to protect their winter leaves; need a long growing season in order to bloom. These have easily become a ‘favorite flower’ of ours!
